Vasuki Foundation (previously known as Ubuntu at Work Trust) is a registered public charitable trust and a non-profit organization. It undertakes projects towards Promoting Education, Skill Development among underprivileged sections, providing Healthcare/ Medical facilities, Cultural and Heritage conservation etc.
Vasuki Foundation is registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act having FCRA no. 094421783, NITI Aayog and Ministry of Corporate Affairs having CSR Registration no. CSR00022635 for accepting the funds and undertaking the philanthropic projects.
• To promote education, including special education, moral education, religious and traditional knowledge, yoga, literature, science, art, culture, sports training
• To provide Employment-enhancing Vocational Skills and livelihood enhancement projects.
• To offer scholarships and sponsor the education of deserving and/or economically backward students
• To provide Medical Facilities for deserving poor people
• To support Health Clinics, Hospitals, Mobile Health Units, conduct Health Camps, etc.
• To support Healthcare institutions, Hospitals
• To preserve the Environment (including watersheds, forests, and wildlife)
• To preserve monuments or places or objects of artistic or historic interest
• To promote cultural and arts subjects and works like drawings, paintings, music, and shows.
• To eradicate hunger, poverty, malnutrition, and safe drinking water for the poor
• To support, start, manage, and administer any Orphanage, Nursing Home, Old Age Homes, libraries, Diagnostic Centres, Reading rooms, Schools, colleges, Institutes, Research Institutions, and other institutions
• To provide relief to poor, unemployed, refugees, war widows, women, children, and other deprived people in society
Women are key pillars of the society and their economic empowerment is a necessity of today’s social and economic development. However, women in India still face many barriers and challenges in accessing education, health, finance, and employment opportunities.
Vasuki Foundation with the aim of empowering women and making them self-employed & financially independent has undertaken various programs such as setting up tailoring training centre for the economically underprivileged women, girls located in Signature Basti, New Delhi and providing Sewing Machines and imparting training to women, girls located in Pipaka, Haryana.
This program has benefited more than 100 women and girls to improve their livelihoods and providing economic upliftment to their families.
In an age of digitization and rapid technological advancement, it is imperative to preserve and conserve physical libraries, literatures and promote the Sanskrit education amongst children, youth.
In order to rekindle interest of students in the literature, promoting our Sanskrit language, which is also known as the language of the Gods, Vasuki Foundation promotes initiatives such as Translation of select ancient Literary Works, Developing a Digital Library for students, Researchers etc. and supporting upgradation of the Libraries by replacing, adding new books, literature, refurbishing the storage holding books etc.
In this rapidly evolving global economy, the importance of a skilled and employable workforce cannot be overstated. Even though India has the world’s largest youth population, there is still a gap between the skills pursued by the youth and the demands of the evolving job market.
Vasuki Foundation has facilitated On-Campus skilling program for tribal youth and women towards Forward-linked-Skill Development program. This initiative has helped more than 900 women, youth & their families to improve their livelihoods and bring positive changes in their lives.
